Well, no doubt this wonderful couple won't forget. Ike just happened to show up for their wedding this past September. How rude, he wasn't even invited!!! But the wedding was just beautiful in spite of all the rain! This wedding was extra special to me, my own pretty little daughters were in it!! They were just beautiful!! I was a proud mama!! So here are a few of my favs from Steve and Sally's special day. Yes, it rained, but that didn't keep us from venturing outside for a few shots!! They were troopers for sure!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness, I have SO many favorites from this session. And I haven't even finished them all yet!! This couple was a lot of fun, they have great style, not to mention I could tell they are crazy about each other. So I'm a week or so behind schedule here. Working SO hard on pictures for all of my fabulous clients. Just bear with me everyone, pictures will be up very soon. We are so busy these days!! Between ballgames, ball practice, band practice and that is just to name a few, we are just crazy busy!!!! As much as I love my job as photographer, I love my job as MOM ten times more. That's just how it is! Shouldn't it be? With that said, I have taken on a fewer portrait sessions this fall, and I can now say that September and October are both booked. If you still are wanting pictures, you might get in on a cancellation. So just let me know if you'd like me to put your name on the waiting list. I do have a couple of spots left for November, but those will go fast folks!!!!

That I got to photograph this AMAZING wedding!! Everything was so beautiful!!!! I have so many images that I'd love to share!! But first I want to share a few of this beautiful bride. A few weeks prior we did a bridal session, and she looked so beautiful!!!! So here are a few favs from the bridal session!!!!!!!!

I must say one of my favorite moments of the evening was when the bride and groom were serenaded by a couple of groomsmen, to the tune of "Total Eclipse of the Heart". Wow, that is some singing talent, let's just say it was very memorable!!!Here's a shot of that singing sensation duo!!!!!!

Another long time no post from me!! It's been a busy spring around here. I returned from a little mini vacation with an awesome group of girlfriends, who just so happen to be fabulous photographers to boot. We met up in Dallas for 4 fun-filled days of shopping, shooting, eating delicious foods and even a pedicure! I will post more on this, as I got to be on the OTHER side of the camera for a change. Oh yes, I will be sharing some of those pictures!!!

That's what we are!!!! Crazy busy with our kiddos playing spring ball!!! But we love it!!!! Just seems like we are always running here or there. Springtime is just a busy time for us!

I have so many new pictures I'd love to share, just not enough time in the day to get them posted. But I'll start with a maternity session for a lovely couple. The mama-to-be is just glowing!! We went to one of my favorite places to shoot where the light is just yummy!!!!! I really loved how these turned out!!!!!!

First off, I apologize for not announcing this sooner. I've been insanely busy!!!! But I do have to say I've had the hardest time ever choosing the winner for my "Happily Ever After" contest. It breaks my heart to not pick everyone who entered. So I decided to do a grand prize and then a consolation prize. Drumroll please......................The grand prize goes to a lovely couple by the name of Tiffany and Kenny Green!!!!!! Who are about the celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary!!!!!!!!!! That's what I am.....amazed!! At the amount of entries for my "Happily Ever After" contest!!!

I don't know how I will chose the winner! I had originally thought I'd announce the winner on my blog on April 16th. It may take me a couple of extra days to make that decision. And there could be more than 1 winner. I will however only have 1 grand prize winner. But I am thinking there will be a consolation prize for a couple of other lucky contestants!!!!!!! So stay tuned for that!!

Also, now I realize that there is a NEED for this type of "portrait session". I've often heard of them referred to as "We Did" sessions. I'm thinking I will start to offer these types of sessions for couples. Every one deserves to have beautiful images of them all dressed up in a gorgeous dress, be it their wedding dress or a beautiful new dress. I myself will actually be doing a "We Did" session with my husband this summer, which I am extremely excited about!!

Happily Ever After

Ok, so I'm a week late on getting this out!!! But here it goes!!

My first contest of the new year. The title is "Happily Ever After"

I am looking for a couple, bride and groom, who are already married!! Yes, that's right!! Already Married!!! I am looking for a FUN couple, who would love to have a great time and get dressed back up in their wedding attire. Just spending the afternoon having fun, creating some gorgeous keepsake images of the love they share. Without the stress of an actual wedding!!!!!

So maybe your wedding day images just weren't what you were hoping for, or maybe the weather was cold or rainy. Maybe you just couldn't afford to hire that fantastic photographer of your dreams. Well, then this contest if for YOU!

Here's the scoop!!

1. You must be ALREADY married.

2. You must be willing to do the pictures at locations of my choosing.

3. You must wear wedding attire.

4. Participants must be outgoing, and just willing to have lots of fun!

5. You must NOT be a previous bride of Tammy Odell Photography. (Besides, if you are, then
we all know you already have awesome wedding photos!:)

6. Send in the proper requirements to enter.

To enter please submit an essay in 100 words or less WHY I should choose you!!! Tell me WHY you want to win this fantastic prize!!!

Also, you will need to submit a photo of you and your spouse on your original wedding day. Just a snapshot of the two of you will be fine!!!

Spring is here!!!!!!!!!!

So spring has finally made it's way to Oklahoma!!!! Thank goodness!!!! We at the Odell house have been so ready!! We are gearing up for spring ball, which all of my kiddos will be participating in!! So, it's going to be a very busy season for us! But we love it and can't wait!! Also, with the greening up of trees and grass, seems like that jump starts everyone for pictures!! So, if you are wishing to book a session with Tammy Odell Photography, don't put it off!! I will have very limited availability!! Seniors, there is still time to get your senior pictures done and back in time to send out for your announcements, but the gap is quickly closing on that! So don't wait!!

I've slacked on the ol' blog......yet AGAIN. I don't know why I can't keep this blog updated. I think I know what it is. I don't care much for writing.....about anything. I've never been one of those word savvy people who can just sit down and have the words to just draw you into the story. I know, that's a lame excuse. What if I said I was very sick, and yes that would be true!! I was very sick for 2 weeks with a terrible cough and fever. But now I am coming back to the land of the living. And it feels so great to feel good again!!!!

A few new things. I have a brand new website just for Weddings!! I am very excited about that!! I've also taken out my very first ad in a magazine!! It's called Wedding Ideas, and it's a publication for Oklahoma brides to get ideas on planning their wedding. So that was pretty exciting for me! Thus far in my business, all my clients come from word of mouth. Which really is the best kind of advertising you can have I think. I just thought I'd try to get my name out there a little more in the wedding industry. So we will see what happens there!!

Oh and I am kicking around the idea of a CONTEST!!!!! This one will be for a free "AFTER THE WEDDING" session for some lucky bride and groom who are already married, who would love to get dressed back up and just have a ton of fun creating some beautiful pictures. I haven't worked out the details, but I am thinking there will definitely be a contest to win this AWESOME prize. So stay tuned for the details on that.

Ok, so enough rambling. Funny how a person who doesn't like to write can tend to ramble on and on.....

Been a while since my last update. I know some of you faithful blog stalkers out there keep coming back and no update!!! I've just been crazy busy!!! I can tell you that I have a very limited amount of openings left for 2007. With that said, I will always try and make an exception for newborns.

Well, yesterday was super busy so I didn't get around to posting it!! But Hubby and I just celebrated 12 years!!!! I just had to give us a shout out!! We spent our anniversary evening at Bricktown with dinner, a movie and a stroll around the canal!!!!!

My Sis-in-law took this photo of us a few months ago while we were vacationing in South Padre. One of these days I will share some pics of us on our trip!! Poor hubby wasn't feeling well here, too much sun!! We all had too much sun those few days! But he was a trooper and knew how much I wanted family pics on the beach!!! I know he doesn't look sunburned here, remember, I have Photoshop! HA!!!!! Still I love this photo!!!!!!

Oh and this one, well, our 5 year old son took this for us one day while we were out boating on the lake this summer. I love his interesting crop on this!!!!! Could have a future photographer on my hands here!!!!!!!!!!

Well, wouldn't you know it!!!!!! It's that time again!!!!! Geesh, seems like it comes sooner and sooner every year!!! Christmas is only 3 months away!! Where does the time go? It's so easy to get overwhelmed during the holidays, and I am going to try and enjoy the Christmas season this year!!! I'm gonna actually put up my Christmas decor this time!!!!! I'm really trying, honest!! Just so much going on these days!!!! School finally started back, yea!!! My little boy started Pre-k, and he is thrilled to be there!! He is doing so wonderful, I'm so proud of him. And my girls are happy to be back too, I do think they missed school!!!!!!!
I will be leaving town this upcoming weekend to attend my first photography workshop!! So I am very excited!! I get to meet up with a couple of awesome photographers that I've know online for a few years now, so that is super exciting!!!!! I want to thank my clients for being so patient, I am working on everyone's pictures and will have wedding slideshows up soon!!!!! I promise!!!!!

I have some news!!!! As some of you may have noticed, I have a beautiful new website!!!
And now that my blog is a little more noticed, I plan to update it more and offer some specials to those who follow my blog closely!!!!! So keep your eyes peeled for something interesting!!
I have been so crazy busy with weddings and sessions, just a note to my clients waiting to see their pics, please know that I am working on them!!! Thank you so much for being so patient!!!

I promised this beautiful senior a sneak peek, so here it is!!!!!!!!! I really thought these turned out so GREAT!!!!!!! I have lots more to proof, but those will have to wait!!!!!!

Also, I will not be returning any business calls or emails for a few days!!!!! But will be back in the swing of things next week sometime!!! I will be taking a small break to spend time with my family until school starts in a few weeks!!! YEA!!!!! My kids are so ready for school, I think I am too!!!!

I have just been so busy with so much!!!!!! Lots of weddings and softball/t-ball games!!!!!!!!!

My youngest daughter was choosen Homecoming Candidate for her second grade class!! So we got to shop for a dress and shoes and all the fun girly things that a princess would need. I must admit, she looked just beautiful that night, I was sooo proud!!!!

Let me see, what's new with me!! I got a new website, as most would know!! Which I love btw!!!!! Trying to get some new ideas and marketing tools together for the new year!!! I have high hopes for this blog also, I'd love to do some sort of contest, haven't worked out any details on that yet, I am not real sure how many of my clients check out my blog, so I don't know how well it would go over, I may just give it a shot and hope for the best!!!!!!!

Finally another update, I have got to keep this thing updated more often!!!

Just thought I'd share a new style of Christmas card that my lab has started offering.
These are double sided press printed greeting cards. They are offered in sets of 24, pre-scored, and include wrapped envelopes. Wow your friends and family with a beautiful Holiday card featuring your family!!!!!!!!!

How lucky for me to get to photograph these couples so in love? And believe me they were not afraid to show it!!!!!

This couple wanted an "urban" setting and we found some really neat places around town. They were so much fun! It was something a little different for me with the downtown theme, and I love how they turned out!!

I also had the pleasure of taking engagement photos for this lovely couple, and as if you couldn't tell by the photos, they are madly in love!!! So here is sneak peek for Lacey and Ty! It's that time of year again! I have lots of clients wanting to see some Christmas card samples.

I was tagged by my photog friend Jessica, so now I have to name 5 WEIRD things about me, at first I thought this would be hard then I had lots of ideas pop into my head, so here is how weird I am.......

1.) I won't hardly leave my house without my makeup on, it's just the way I am, I feel naked with out it. I wear it almost everyday of the year! If I don't put it on, I can't seem to get motivated, I guess you could say it takes the place of my morning coffee, once I get my face on, I can start my day!!!!

2.) I LOVE anything to do with the Cival War era, the history that goes with it. I sometimes think I was born in the wrong century, I just love how simple life was then, except for the war part of course. I also love the late 1800's as well, "Little House on the Prarie" is one of my favorite tv shows( which I never watch anymore), and my fav movie, you guessed it, "Gone with the Wind"!

3.) I am a very paranoid person. So my family tells me. I know that I am, I have this thought that if something can go wrong, it will. I am a worry wort about everything! But mostly I worry about my children's safety. I don't know how I'll ever cope with them dating and driving. I check my their breathing atleast 2 or 3 times per night before I go to bed. And make sure the doors are locked at least twice a night.

4.)I have gotten into a very bad habit of staying up very late at night....like sometimes 1 or 2 am every night! I can get so much work done late a night, with noone to get a drink or a snack or change the tv station( for my darling son). My husband hates it, but I love my quiet late nights, but they are catching up with me, I need more sleep!!!!!!!!!

5.) Now this may not be a very weird characteristic, but I am REALLY not looking forward to turning 30 at the end of this year. I know that's probably pretty normal, and 3 or 4 months ago it wasn't bothering me much, but I am starting to get little fine lines under my eyes and I HATE it. It's like they just popped up out of nowhere! Even my hubby noticed it the other day. I just can't see myself as a 30 year old woman!! Seems like just yesterday I was a carefree teenager. Anyhow I will be checking into some high tech wrinkle cream in the very near future, it may not help any, but I will try anyway! Maybe I need a little more sleep to help out those wrinkles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could list more, but I think this is plenty!!!! Now I don't know anyone with a blog that hasn't been tagged yet, so it will end with me!!!!!!

My oldest baby is 10 today, my how time flies!!! She was sweet enough to pose for some practice
shots the other day. I took her and several of her girly friends out for pizza and to see "FLICKA" friday night and while we were waiting I snapped a few of her and her new hat and scarf. I was trying out my 50mm and some natural light for these. I was looking for a "cool" spot to shoot guys senior pics and found a couple of neat places. I love her blue eyes, yes they are that blue!!!!! She really like the way these turned out!!!!!!!! Me too!!!!!

I wanted to capture some of her with that attitude that she gives me alot of the time!! she has the serious look here!

My Family Portraits!!

I finally made some time for my own family
photos! I was a challenge to say the least!
I have my 14 year old sister push the button
on the cable release and had the camera
set up on a tripod so all she had to do was
hit the button. She did a great job, but it was
no so easy getting it all just the way I wanted
it. Plus we go to the field late (of course) and I
only had about 40 mins of daylight! And both the girls had emotional breakdowns with tears
during the whole episode,(my girls are SUPER
emotional!)
But I think I got one that I just love, or two
anyhow. I just LOVE this one of me and my
husband!! We never got any really nice wedding or engagment photos, so this is super special to me. Umm, notice the placement of his right hand? Well he didn't think it would show up in the photo, but I love it!!! Because that is soooo him! Anyhow this is going up in our bedroom HUGE!!! I did lots of vintage coloring on these, both me and my hubby like the coloring better than the original.

This one is the one that I think I want to enlarge for my wall!

I have seen this done and wanted some fun shots of us, I kinda like the way they turned out, especially the way my son is looking up!

Married 11 years now!!!!!!!

These are the children of a dear friend.

The first photos I ever did for anyone
almost 3 years ago, were the newborn
pics of this little girl! You can see the storms moving in and it was
sprinkling just a bit so we had to work fast!

I think she is such a little diva!
She loved the tutu!!

Her flower was sticky and broken so she was a bit upset....
until I got her a new one!!!

It was a busy week for photos in the flowers!!
I got very lucky and was able to find some great
locations for both shoots!!
This first photo was taken in a small field right in the
middle of a big city!! I drove past it on my way to this little
ones house. I thought to myself, "hmm..maybe I can talk the
mom into coming down here later." Needless to say she was
soooo glad I did!!!!!!! She is a little doll!!

I did this shoot a few days later in a different
location. This little one was such a joy to photograph!!
And this photo is one of my new favorites!!

a little about me.......

Ok, so I wasn't going to to a "blog", but the more I thought about it I thought why not?? Might be a good way to keep family and friends up on what's going on around here! With the website I currently have, I am not able to update it on my own and add new favorite photos. So I thought with a blog I could do that. And also tell future clients a little more about me. I am not good with words at ALL, and putting them into clever sayings, so just bear with me on this part of the 'blog".
A little more about me, well.....here goes. I have been married for almost 11 years to a man that always keeps me laughing!! He is a total goofball, but I love him for that. And he's pretty darn cute too!! We have three beautiful children, whom I have tortured with my photography for the last 3 years now. But they have been wonderful subjects to pracitce on. I wouldn't be here doing this without them!!! They have been my inspiration throughout this whole process, and my love for them is endless. I am so thankful to God that I have been blessed with this beautiful family!!! He has indeed given me more than I could have ever asked for. And for that I will forever be grateful.
